Its scientific name is Plukenetia volubilis, and it is used as oil which stands out for the presence of vitamin A, vitamin E and essential fatty acids such as linolenic, linoleic and oleic, called omega 3, omega 6 and omega 9, respectively; which act as reducing agents of triglycerides and arterial hypertension. It also reduces joint inflammation.


Whose scientific name is Bixa Orellana, this plant contains a pulp of red or orange intense and leaves that have medicinal properties, which act against the discomforts of the throat, vomiting, hemorrhages, hemorrhoids, and angina. It also relieves kidney pain and works against malaria and asthma.

Among the assets provided by this ancestral plant are flavonoids, carotenoids (vitamin A), B-and C-complex vitamins, leutein, pectin, norbixin, apigenine glycoside, among others.


Native to the Peruvian sierra and known for its hepatoprotective properties (liberates more bile) and cholesterol reducing, this plant is used as a detoxifying and diuretic, burning the body fat-without affecting health – regulating metabolism and reducing the risks of cardiovascular problems.

Its assets decrease cholesterol levels in the blood, making the cardiovascular system healthier, because it stimulates the secretion of bile acids. In addition, it Tonifies, regulates, strengthens and detoxifies the kidneys, since it reduces uric acid.


Cultivated in Peruvian tropical climates, this plant belongs to the anacardiac family, which is characterized by easy adaptation in fertile soils. Its yellow or red fruits are known as” the fruit of memory”, since it strengthens the brain.

On the other hand, its consumption provides large amounts of vitamin C. In addition, the cooking of its bark and leaves are used for the treatment of stomach cramps, inflammations, insomnia, diabetes, malaria and hemorrhoids. In addition, its leaves help to clean the colon, through an infusion.

There is No doubt that the use of healing plants has shown great positive results for the organism and that our country has been blessed with 1,109 medicinal plants, of which 980 species come from the Amazon.
